Juniors Over the Local Circuit

About the Initiative

Juniors Over the Local Circuit (JOLC) was introduced by the CCAC in 2016 to provide Jackson County high school juniors with exposure to local post-secondary opportunities.

In partnership with the 13 school districts in Jackson County and local colleges in the Jackson area, JOLC gives students the opportunity to visit Jackson College, Albion College, and Spring Arbor University. Through these campus visits, students explore different college environments, learn more about post-secondary options, and begin thinking more intentionally about their plans after high school.

CCAC Advisors work with school counselors and college admissions teams to coordinate each visit. By participating in JOLC, students gain firsthand experience on college campuses and are encouraged to consider the education and training pathways that best align with their goals.
