The College & Career Access Center is open to all Jackson County residents seeking to achieve education and career goals. While many of our services target high school students, others are beneficial regardless of present position. Whether recently graduating, entering the workforce, or returning to the workforce, the CCAC can prepare you for success.

The development of strong interviewing skills is critical to long-term goal achievement.  Several factors should be addressed when preparing for a successful interview. In order to stand out from other prospects, the following checklist might be considered:

 

  Have you researched the company to which you are applying?
 

   Have you considered questions that the employer may ask?
 

   Have you prepared concise answers to basic questions?
 

   Have you prepared questions for the employer?
 

   Do you know what is appropriate to wear to the interview?

 

These are some of the common considerations. Our advisors will also assist with mock interviews, role play exercises, and many helpful Dos and Don'ts for the interview process.
